Spanish Schools in Manuel Antonio
One of the smallest, yet one of the most
beloved of all the National Parks in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio
is a wonderful place to spend time and visit. The park is
located on the Pacific Ocean and is framed on one side by
beautiful sandy beaches and on the other side by lush
rainforests, hills and deep valleys. The Manuel Antonio Park
itself is 682 hectares in size and is located just a short 132
kilometers from San Jose. Most travel to the area occurs
between December and March, as this is the dry season and is
perfect for hiking and wildlife watching. Spanish schools in
Manuel Antonio often plan weekend or day trips to see all
around this beautiful natural area.
While in the park - whether you're at one of the Spanish
schools in Manuel Antonio, or not - it's possible to see over
one hundred different species of animals, two hundred different
species of birds and thousands of different types of insects.
The Jardin Gaia, Costa Rica’s major wildlife rescue center, is
located just outside of the Manuel Antonio Park, and it's
possible to take tours through the rescue center area. Damas
Island, just a short distance from Manuel Antonio, is an
excellent spot for bird watching as well as crocodile viewing.
The mangrove forests on the Island provide shade and cooler
temperatures for day trips and hiking.
Fishing is popular outside of Manuel Antonio Park. Many of
the students that attend Spanish schools in Manuel Antonio and
surrounding areas spend their weekends fishing for mahi mahi,
sailfish, yellowfin, marlin and amberjack. Sea kayaking, scuba
diving and snorkeling, as well as hiking and white water
rafting, provide other outdoor activities.
The city of Quepos is located just outside of Manuel Antonio
Park and boasts many fine hotels, restaurants and resorts.

Quepos a great way to learn to use their new language. The
people of the area are very friendly and willing to talk to
students and visitors about the area and their culture, as well
as things to do in the area. Quepos has shopping opportunities
and local boutiques and shops that feature artists from the
